VOLUNTEERING
Want to volunteer in the LGBT community?
Individuals and groups can assist by donating time to help do things like sit at a Center informational booth at an event, find donors for the Center, write grants, stuff envelopes and many other things.
All volunteers must first attend one of our monthly orientation sessions. These two hour long orientations are an opportunity for you to learn about volunteer opportunities available at the Center and a chance for us to learn of the skills, talents, and experience you have to offer.
General Volunteer Orientation:
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY
The LGBT Center provides equal opportunity for every employee, intern, and volunteer regardless of actual or perceived age, gender, race, national origin, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious affiliation or disability that does not prohibit performance of essential job functions.
The LGBT Center selects employees and interns and assigns duties to employees, interns and volunteers based upon each individual's dependability and ability to perform necessary duties, the current needs of the LGBT Center and the ability of the Board of Directors to provide appropriate supervision of employees, interns and volunteers.
